Sophie goes to work with mom . . . :)
Note from Mom, January 2010: . . . Catalina is well known at our university but I would say Sophie is already more famous. Raul has brought her in twice a week to visit and people come from many other offices to play with her. The president's executive secretary is in love and wants to steal her! Sophie is definitely a character. She is way more outgoing and independent than Catalina. Catalina is a lovebug who wants nothing more than to snuggle with Rual and me. She is rarely even a room away. Sophie is already a little independent creature who loves to explore. She is hilarious because she will run around exploring and ask to sit with us when she is done and passes out in like three seconds flat. She has no fear and likes to go adventuring outside any chance she gets. Our weather is great now, but it does get really hot in the summer so we will keep her inside then. She is never outside without one of us being there. She does love it though! One advantage for us is that Catalina is way more sociable with Sophie here. She has always been very shy and now she is actually friendly and playing with other people. Catalina also tempers how hard she plays wih Sophie. Sophie will play with all her little might and Catalina will only be as rough as Sophie can handle. Just wanted to give you an update and thank you for the two most perfect Bulldogs in the world! [WE just start them out with love and care; YOU and RAUL mold them into what they become! ]
Catalina adjusting to new little sister: :)
"I 'think' Catalina is going to let me stay; I think I'd better ask her!" . . . .
. . . . "Catalina, do you think it is okay if I live here with you? I promise to do exactly as you say . . . . you are chief bulldog here!"
. . . ."Well, she's asleep, finally, and out of my hair. I guess she can stay here; they didn't even tell me she was coming: she just 'appeared' late one night after mom had been gone for the day; the door opened and mom brought her in! As long as Sophie remembers her place in our home, then it 'might' be okay. Mom? Can this little twerp stay?"
(Catalina is the daughter of our sooo loved girl, Shuggie, 2007 litter )
Sophie, at 2 months
"Don't worry, little buddy; it's really nice around here! Dad's a great guy and there are lots of us to play with! You'll be one of the bunch before you know it!"
Enzo Meets His Grandparents and Their Bullies!
Enzo Playing with Dad and new family!
Note from Dad, January 2010: " . . . I was absolutely molested in the airports. Security guards were passing him around all taking turns hugging him. I was like, "CAN I HAVE MY DOG BACK!" :) --- I finally got home at 1:15 a.m. Sunday morning, and I slept with him on the floor, while he was in his large crate right next to me. We got up early, and he ate his first meal. From there we napped and then went up to my parents with our other two dogs. There were four bulldogs and the pitbull/lab running, playing and romping. --- I LOVE HIM already. Buddy slept with him all evening on the same bed :) He is the most special, most perfect creature. How could he be any better, I don't know. [He's a pretty good little guy, Adrian!! And I would say he has gone to live in bulldoggy heaven. :)
Note from Nancy, Adrian's mom (January, 2010): "Enzo is absolutely the most adorable thing I've ever seen! Adrian brought him over Sunday to meet his new 'family" and we fell in love. When he fist encountered Stella, he GROWLED at her. She then snapped at him. There were a couple of similar encounters, but once they were all outside together, all was well. I was in the kitchen at the sink, and I turned around and there was Enzo, sitting right there looking up at me. We all laughed, as we were sure he was waiting for some "Shella" treats. They--Rita and Stella--went over to Adrian's house during the week, and they were best of friends. The girls have taken him right in. He is everything you said he was; we love him already. [And, Nancy, he loves you, too!!!!]
Enzo, my sweet little guy, I would say you have 'moved in.' :)
(at 2 months)

Now the son of Ashlie, Medina, TX
Now the son of Malena and family, San Antonio, TX
Note from Mom, January 23, 2010: "Oh, Shella, he has been nothing but a joy! We are working on potty training; he is doing fairly well and we are very proud of him. He enjoyed the beautiful day yesterday outside with the kids and has the energy we just love. We named him Brasco Pena. Everyone just loves him and he gets tons of hugs and kisses all day long. The kids roll around with him and he spends many hours a day chasing them. He and our cat were at odds at first but they are also beginning to come around to each other as well. Enjoy the pictures and thank you for providing us with the opportunity to experience such joy! Malena" [And, Malena, Brasco is in the PERFECT HOME for him! He had energy to burn, and had he not been chosen to live with an active family like yours, his life would have been so much less! THANK YOU for making him welcome and making him a part of your family. We loved him here, so much! ]
Note from Mom, February 24, 2010: "I believe we will be keeping the name Sir Winston since that is what he answers to. He is very comfortable in his new home. He just loves Dalan and Dalan him. I believe his favorite in our house is our one year old granddaughter, Asleigh. He wants to sit in the car seat with her when traveling in the car. He is neverleft alone; he travels to work, the ranch, and anywhere else we re during the day. We will send pictures soon." [THANK YOU, JANA!! I can just see him in his busy life; how GOOD it must be to him to be 'out' of that nursery room! :) His life has changed drastically, and for much the better! Thank you, sincerely.]
Note from Ashlie and Brittany's mom, Sherry: "We are having a ball with these two. The ride home yesterday was uneventful. They were wonderful. They slept good and have fun playing like crazy. "
"Just wanted to give you an update on the 'kids' . . . . this morning they went for a ride on the ranch with me and my husband. They got to visit our chicken pen; did really well, then went to take Robert to his dozier. Tatianna thinks that she needs to help drive. We have already decided that she is "Little Miss Thing." She is always the center of attention. Vik, we have shortened his name, is such a laid back little guy. Really, the dogs match the girls. --- We have found though, that Tatianna likes to sleep with her brother. She wakes us up and wants to go to Ashlie's room to Vic. Once she is with him, its off to sleep. Such a cute sight. --- They are truly little gifts; we could not have picked any better dogs for our home. We truly appreciate all you have done for us. Thanks again. Sherry, Ashlie, Brittany, Vik and Tatianna [It is easy to see that these two are having the times of their lives! And "I" could never have picked a better home for THEM! Now, how many little guys get to go for rides and see chickens and all the animals you have! Not many! SO happy for them!!]
Ashlie and her little boy, Vik . . . joined by an interloper: Tatianna, who barks until she can come and sleep with her brother. Oh, Ashlie, you 'used' to have such peaceful nights. :)
Vik, just AFTER he had a bath!!!! And because of 'this,' you have to go back and take Bath #2!!! :) Something tells me you are NOT going to learn . . .
Belle's First Pictures in new home:
At 2 months, with Mom
At 2 months, with Dad
Note from Dad, February 21, 2010: "Just wanted to let you know that Dotty, aka Victoria, is doing wonderfully well. She is adjusting to the house. She was practically an angel during the long ride home. The other dogs are slowly warming up to her. She's being good with the crate. LOL Sometimes I can't even get her out she loves it so much. She found a good spot in the backyard to do her business and he is pooping solid stools, had only two accidents, but I believe it was from all the excitement. She is resting now. . . . Thank you again and I'll definitely stay in touch. [THANK YOU, Joe!!! I could tell how she reacted from the first minute she saw you that she was going to LOVE her dad, so very much. Remember what they say about little children and animals? You can't fool them! They can see right through a human (adult). She felt so comfortable with you; and she feels comfortable wherever you are. We'll be happy to see her pictures, and thank you so much!]

It's okay, Oliver: meeting relatives for the first time is rarely easy. They'll accept you in time, and love you very much! Just stay calm and remember: YOU are not the boss! Yes, we know you will be in time, but . . . this isn't it. :)
(at 4 months)
Note from Mom, April 2010: "Attached is a picture of Sophie and Catalina in their usual morning snuggle pile. Sophie is the sweetest puppy ever! The second picture is of Sophie sleeping in Winston's crate. He didn't know what to do so he just laid down on the floor and put his face next to hers." [Don't we wish we had room for and the energy required, to take care of dozens of these precious dogs! They deserve so much love . . . and I know that the ones in YOUR home, get that. Thank you, Julia!]
