Lobo, at 2 months; this is Lobo's first picture in his new home.   Dad says he is settling in well.
Now the son of Bianca and John, Austin, Texas
Miles and his family: his mom, Kelly; his dad, Steve.   Once you look closely at these pictures, no words are needed; you can 'see' the love around this little Canadian boy.  Miles . . . you 'lucky dog.'  :)
(at 2 months)
Atlas, at two months, sleeping with dad . . .
. . . and sleeping with mom.
Mom also says that Atlas, even at two months, is very quick to learn!  He has already learned to 'sit'!!  Next, he is scheduled to begin learning to ride a skateboard.  :)  My money is on Atlas!  He was always the smallest little boy, but he was . . invincible!!  No name his parents could have given him would be more fitting than "Atlas."  THAT he is!!
Papa at 2 months, with his playing buddy, an American bulldog who belongs to Papa's grandmother.  These two play together often, and Mom says they have such a good time!!  Always nice to have a buddy . . .
Sleeping baby Papa.  This little boy is loved so much; THANK YOU, Bianca and John!   He is truly a precious little boy, inside and out.  Papa is beautiful now, but just wait until he can show everyone 'himself' in a few months.  Not going to believe your eyes!!
And THIS is BEAUTIFUL "Papa"!! at 2 months.  This is the sweetest little boy!!!  Bianca, his mom, says that when he grows up, his name will be "Big Papa"!!  :)  Papa is going to be quite a specimen in a few months!  Just wait!!
Quintcy, at 2 months.  Quint-"C" is named after the five lovely members of this family,  all of whom have first names that begin with the letter "C"--since Quintcy belongs to every member of this family, it is only fitting that he derive his name from everyone who welcomed him so warmly and who will care for him and love him all his life.
Quintcy and his brothers and sister just after his arrival; he had flown and driven so many miles that he was ready for bedtime . . . and he didn't even have to have a bed!  :)
You don't have to have another dog in the house to play with, not when you have a real live brother!!
Quintcy, safe on his giant pillow.
Papa, just two weeks shy of three months old!
Higgins, one week shy of 3 months old!
3 month-old Quincy, above and below, basking in the Canadian sunshine.  We are 102 degrees down here in South Texas, Quintcy!  You made the right choice, little buddy.  :)
Quintcy's mom says he brings them all so much joy and laughter.  Without a single doubt in this world, I am certain the feeling is mutual.
Lobo, Jeff's little golden boy, at 3 months.
A home filled with people who not only welcome you, but love you.   Doesn't get any better than that.
Note from mom:  " . . .  the vet said that he has the nostrils of a 'normal' dog (normally bulldogs have more pinched nares).  I told her that he was 87.5 English bulldog and that may be why, and she said his conformation and bulldog characteristics are better than some purebreds.  She said she'd never have known and that he looked great.  She also said his face folds looked great and weren't super deep so cleaning would be easier.  She said if all burebred bulldogs looked like him, the breed would be better for it . . . ")
Bubbles, at 3 months, with some of his playing buddies!  Don't think Bubbles ever gets very lonely!  :)

Trying to convince mom that he's starving.  He KNOWS where the boiled eggs are!!!
BUSTED!!!!
Miles's First Boating and Fishing Adventure:  :)
Now the son of Yolanda and Arturo, Cedar Park, Texas
CZAR, son of Petromonoff Valiant and Our Bulldog Children's LeeLee, Spring 2008 litter
Keegan at 3.5 months, with big sister, Chloe.  [Chloe is the daughter of our Shuggie and Amasio, September 2007]  Dad said that when Keegan first came to their home, Chloe just about smothered him, and Keegan was trying to hide.  But what a difference a few weeks can make!  Dad says that NOW Keegan has been bullying her around, but that they seem to love each other.  I would say you can definitely tell that they do, James; and as time passes, they will be inseparable.  Thank you and Victor SO MUCH for giving them both such a wonderful home!
Keegan, at 3.5 months, precious little boy . . .
Playing with an older sister just tires a little guy out.  But oh what fun to sleep on dad; there is no better pillow.
Another "First" for Higgins!!
. . . . one month later; almost 4 months old!
Beautiful Papa . . . almost 4 months old.
(Note from Papa's mom, August 19, 2008:  "I just want to send you some pictures of our adorable Papa!  He is the sweetest thing ever.  When I walk him, he is never far from me; he is so loving. ")  Bianca, you know why he is?  He gives back exactly what he receives . . . .  THANK YOU.  :)
     CZAR'S VACATION!!
(Note from Czar's parents: )

"Shella,

Here you will find some pictures of Czar, now a healthy 25 pounder and in very good health.  You will see him attempting to surf, coming out of a swim (he loves the waves and water in general), horsing around with Dante (our white lab), assisting Cris (son) in building a sand castle and calling it a day at the the beach.  Czar has been the talk of our neighborhood; everyone loves him.  He is great with children, and they see him as a live teddy bear."

Arturo and Yolanda:  During his two months here with me, Little Czar was always as close to being a teddy bear as any little dog could be.  :)  What a wonderful life he has with your family.  I often think that these little bulldogs have better lives than many children; and though that thought is so sad, I am so very appreciative of loving families, just like yours.  My gratitude forever.  You have given Czar everything he needs for a long and happy life.  THANK YOU!
Czar, at almost 4 months, coming onto the beach after a swim.
Czar's first attempt at surfing . . .    (you can do it, precious boy!!)
Horsing around with four-legged brother, Dante
Helping brother, Chris, build a sand castle . . . . . helping???  :)
Calling it a day . . . swimming and surfing and horsing around and building sand castles will surely tire a little boy out . . . Beautiful little Czar, you'll have to rest and come back again tomorrow!  :)
(Note from Lobo's Dad)

" . . . Lobo is getting big, Shella; he's full of energy and can't wait to go outside when I get home.  He also loves to play with a soccer ball; he goes crazy with it.  I'm trying to teach him the basic sit, down, stay, etc.  He's gotten the sit part already but he's a little confused with down and stay.  I'm sending you some pictures of him.  Look at his color!!! . . .  Well, Shella, just wanted to say hi to you and send these pictures.  I didn't forget about you at all.  I've been on your website looking at Lobo's brothers; they're all beautiful!!! Let me know if you get the pictures. Take care,Shella.  Tell John I said "Hi."
Dad's little boy, Lobo, at 4 months
BUBBLES' FIRST SWIMMING LESSON!!!
"Here I am asking my buddy if he knows a secret way of of this place!  Mom and Dad were going to MAKE me go swimming!"
"This is Mom and Dad encouraging me to come and enjoy my first swimming lesson!  I tried to get out of the pool, but I didn't make it all the way!"
"First step was getting me used to the water by putting me on a rubber mat!  Mom and Dad were right there; they told me they would catch me if I fell off."
"I tried to give Dad a kiss so he would take me back to dry ground; it didn't work . . ."
"The second step was getting me used to another mat that put me farther down in the water!  They SAID they loved me . . . I was beginning to wonder!!"
"Here I am seeing if I can get used to being out here on my own!  I decided if I just humored them, they'd evenutally let me out, and the sooner the better!"
"You know, that wasn't so bad!!  Mom took me out, held me tightly, and said I was a good little boy.  And Dad was proud of me, too!  Think I'll go and jump in again; if I get a spanking, it'll be worth it!
Note from Mom:  "Bubbles had his first swim this weekend.  He took to it very well.  I had to literally drag him out of the water.  Everyday he lights up our lives."
Quintcy at 5 months, with his half brother, Bruzer, 17 months.  These boys met for the first time and for the most part, things went well!  There was just a bit of 'interloper' in Bruzer's mind, wouldn't you say! :)
(Note from Bubble's Mom:  "Hi, Shella, Wanted to share this picture of me and Bubbles doing AcroYoga together.  I did tell you I am a yoga instructor, right?  He is a natural.  --- We took him to the groomer for the first time this week.  He is such a rockstar.  --- More fall pictures coming soon!  Love and Blessings, Malia and Shadd and Bubbles!

P.S.  I sent it to the AcroYoga website to post as well.  Bubbles might be the first AcroYoga bulldog on the planet!!   Malia and Bubs "

--Malia . . . wonder why I think you love this little boy beyond words . . . I can't figure out why I think that!!! :)
Bubbles, at 5 months, with his mom

Miles, at 6 months
Higgins (at 7 months) with his mom, Heather, and three of her wonderful friends [yes, one good friend had to take the picture! :)]  This was mom's birthday!!  What kind of cake would her friends bake for her?  Why . . . a Higgins Cake!!!  :)
Note from Mom, November 25, 2008:  " . . . When you get a group of girls together with an adorable dog, it's inevitable that they'll try to put clothes on it.  Especially when one of the girls has a beret type of winter hat :)  Poor Higgins looks like he's lost all dignity.  Fortunately for me, he's a good sport and secretly loves the attention.  He didn't seem to mind and just sat there for a long time with the hat on.  Very cute.   --- I can't wait to put a Santa's hat on him in a few weeks. :) -- Did I tell you he weighs 52.5 pounds already?  The vet said he's not overweight, just a stocky boy.  Best, Heather"

                                                          Winter Time Fun!!!

Note from Mom, March 13, 2009:  " . . . as I am writing this, he is acting very playful, rolling around on his back, and singing.  He still loves to sleep on his back, legs spread wide.  He certainly brings big smiles to our faces in the morning (as well as the rest of the day) . . . "  [Carole:  SO very grateful for these beautiful pictures!!!  I know how much time this takes, but being able to see this little guy grow means the world to me!!  THANK YOU!!!]
Quintcy, the singing bulldog, at 10 1/2 months
Quintcy with his dad; dad, are you a bit glad that there is little resemblance?  :)
Quintcy, Quintcy:  Just LOOK where you live!!  If you were still in Texas, you would see roadrunners, but not SWANS!!!   Spring is coming, and what fun you are going to have outside!!  You CAN swim, little man, so go ahead and dive in!!  -- You live in paradise, sweet boy.  :)
Miles, at almost 11 months, helping mom celebrate St. Patrick's Day!!  Yeah!!!  Spring is just around the corner!!
Note from Mom, March 20, 2009:  " . . We are starting to lose the snow here in Canada which is a big relief!!!  I'm so sick of the cold weather and it's a pain because every time Miles goes outside to pee, he comes in all muddy because the ground here is still pretty wet. :)  But soon enough the snow will be all melted and the ground will be dry!!--Miles is getting so much bigger; not so much tall as he is getting WIDE!!!  haha!  But, that's to be expected!!  He's an amazing pup and here are some nice pictures of Mister Miles in March. [Kelly: I absolutely LOVE the coloring on this little guy!!!  Yes, he is beginning to widen, and it will continue for another year!  At one year, they have reached their height, but they have NOT reached 'anything' else!  :)  He is going to LOVE spring!!!  :)  ]
(The 'lazy bum' at 11 months)

(Keegan, at 1 year, with his sister, Chloe, almost 2
THE BIRTHDAY BOY IS 1 YEAR OLD!!!  Keegan, you really surprise me, 'little one.'  You are 'massive' at the end of your first year.  No, you won't get any taller, BUT you are going to 'fill out,' and that head of yours is going to . . . GROW!  At the end of your second year, we will be able to see YOU! :)   Your dad says you let Chloe chew on your feet; you love her that much, huh?? :)  You were a quiet, sweet little boy when you were here--your personality has not changed, has it, sweet boy. :)  I love you, Keegan, my little Oleg; HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LITTLE CANADIAN BOY!!
April 30, 2008
Papa, at 8 months
Czar, at 4 months
Higgins spent his first birthday with his mom in Toronto; while he was there, mom took him to meet his half brother, Bruzer, who lives with his parents, Brett and Robyn in Toronto.  These two brothers had themselves quite a time!  Mom says Higgins totally crashed when he got 'home.'  :)  SO happy you could meet and play with each other.  :)
(Higgins, at one year)
(Higgins with his half-brother, Bruzer:  Bruzer wants his orange rubber bone, really bad, but is he brave enough to get it??  Bet so!!  :)
June 4, 2009:  Spring has once again returned to beautiful Canada; and Miles is enjoying every ray of sunlight that comes his way!  His mom says that Steve had Miles swimming in the lake this past weekend and HE LOVED IT!  She's going to get us some pictures this summer of Miles, the fishman.  :)  Mom was headed out the door to take this sun-loving guy for a walk!  And when he comes home from swimming and walking, what does he do?  Take a look to your left, and you'll see!  :)  [THANK YOU, KELLY!]
Note from Mom, June 22, 2009:  "Hi, Shella,  The weather here is abnormally hot for this time of year; we usually don't see this kind of heat until August.  I walk Higgins every night and take him to a dog park with a pond on the weekends, but it's just too hot for him to go to the local dog park like we used to  (he plays too hard with the other dogs).  This weekend I took him to a local doggie festival and there he discovered a "doggie pool" (aka, kiddle pool).  He splashed and played and ran from pool to pool the entire time.  People watched and laughed as he rolled
in the water (he's an absolute freak for water).  This one guy kept following us around taking pictures, which I thought was a bit weird until he said he was from our local newspaper and said Higgins might end up on their website.  I came in to work this morning and the building manager (who is a big Higgins fan) brought me today's paper and he had actually made the paper itself.  Needless to say, he now has a kiddie pool at home and has something fun to do during the week.  My camera was at school this weekend, but I'll send pictures of his antics as soon as I get them.  --- Also, the other day I took him to the dog park with a pond and a group was doing dog intelligence testing as part of a Ph.D. research project.  She asked if Higgins could take the test, which took about 10 minutes.  I was super nervous for him (I think he's smart, but still 10 minutes is a long time to concentrate).  He did amazingly well and got a score of 9 out of 10!  That was actually the highest score they had (other dogs have gotten a 9/10 but none have gotten a 10/10.  I was with a friend with two dogs and hers got an 8 (Australian cattle dog) and a 6 (terrier mix), which is still pretty good.  They said Higgins got the highest score for his breed!  -- Hope all is well and hello to John!  Heather "  [This absolutely THRILLS me, Heather!!  He's smart, yes; he has to be:  his mom is super intelligent, almost human.  So, is it nature or nurture?  Well, it is BOTH!  The little lump of clay is all there, but YOU have molded him and strongly influenced the development of his intelligence.  :) THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!  ]
Here's Beautiful Papa!! :)  He's in the rose garden with his sweet sister.  Nothing like stopping to smell the roses when you have someone who'll sniff them with you! :)  THANK YOU, BIANCA, SO MUCH!!
Papa, at 1 year and a few weeks
"Would you like to hear about my day, dad?  Then you can tell me about yours."
Note from Mom, July 23, 2009:  " . . . we are constantly aware of how Atlas is doing, especially in this summer heat.  I walk him several times a week early in the morning (it's usually temperate, and I bring a bottle of ice water to splash him off with anyway, just in case.)  We've taken him to the beach many times now, and always bring a little bottle of lemon juice!  That's such a handy little tool.  He's made many friends at the apartment complex, and is growing up to be a strong (62 pounds) wonderful pup who loves to play.  -- We also took him out on a boat recently!  We bought him a doggie lifevest and everything.  We were pretty confident that he'd take to it well (he's pretty mellow about changing environments) and sure enough, he seemed to like it.  He just had trouble finding a comfy place to sleep on the boat towards the end (it got kind of choppy at higher speeds).  The water of Lake Austin cooled him off whenever we stopped and swam.  He slept like a baby that night!  --Hope you guys are keeping cool!  Take care, Gaby, Justin and Atlas"  [Your little boy is just BEAUTIFUL, Gaby!!  I can tell that he is a LeeLee baby:  they LOVE the water . . . and they have 'personality plus.'  THANK YOU SO MUCH for loving him; he has a truly wonderful life, and he has you and Justin to thank for his happiness. ]
Now THIS is a River Rat . . .   (Atlas is 1 year old)
MILES' SECOND GREAT BOATING ADVENTURE IN GLORIOUS CANADIAN SUMMER
Miles, one year has made quite a difference in you, sweet boy!!  :)
. . . If I didn't know better, I would swear the father of your litter was a dolphin -- you guys LOVE the water, don't you!  :)
Summer 2009
Miles, at just over a year, out boating with mom . . . and with dad.  Happy, Happy Boy!
Miles . . . . do you live in heaven?  You know, I believe you do!!  :)
Here is Lobo on October 23, 2009!  Dad says, "Lobo is doing good; he loves the cool weather; he gets lazy also he just stays lying down and doesn't want to get up. "   [That's what they do around here, too, Jeff!  The warm sunshine feels sooo good to them that they just want to snooze and enjoy being able to be outside after that long, hot, hot summer!  Our summers are murder, but . . . our winters are surely hard to beat!  :)  Just have to survive the summer, first!!  :)  Your 'golden boy' is still that!!  He's a good weight, Jeff--just hang in there until he gets about two!]
( at 1 year!)
Note from Dad, March 2010:  "Lobo is in good health and getting big and is still full of energy!  He's something else, I tell you.  He's missing my mom also; it's funny cause he sensed something was wrong with me and didn't leave my side at all.  He always wanted to be next to me.  He's a good dog, really loyal.  . . . Got to go; I'm tired and need to give Lobo a bath!  Take care, Shella"  [YOU take care, too, Jeff!  I will tell you that I've raised many babies, but I have NEVER raised one with a more beautiful coat than your Lobo; he is a HANDSOME guy!!]
( at almost 2 years)
Big Papa, one month away from his second birthday, with his bestest friend, besides mom and dad.  THANK YOU, BIANCA, for taking the time to share your beautiful children with us all!
Lobo, at 2 years:  this boy watches every movement dad makes.  :)
