GIANNI!! At 3 1/2 months; and he is at one of his 'gangly' stages!! Keep watching this boy; he is going to be quite the man!
Yubi's parents, Carrie and Bill, lived in Japan for several years. Through their exposure to the Japanese language during that time, they chose to name their new little girl, "Yubi," which translates to 'grace.' (Yubi has a brother named Yoshi.) Now, it is possible that Carrie and Bill might consider changing Yubi's name because she seems to be a strong-minded little girl! But, they are experienced parents and will not allow Yubi to set the rules! And that is DEFINITELY the way to guide this precious little girl into becoming the mature adult who will prove to be a loving, obedient companion. They love her so much; there is NO way she could have more devoted parents. Thank you, Carrie and Bill, for giving her such a wonderful home and for loving her as you do.
Tony, at 10 weeks, with his family. Mom is there too, except . . . 'someone' has to be behind the camera!"
Now the daughter of Sita, Schertz, Texas
Yubi, aka 'The Energizer Bunny,' with her long-suffering older brother, Yoshi; bless his heart, he deserves a medal for accepting a new little sister who has so much joi de vive and so much to learn!
Yubi, at 3 months
Chloe, at 3 months, and dad: First Christmas
Chloe, at 1 1/2 years
Catalina, at almost 3 months, is all dressed up and visiting her doctor! Her mom says that she loves to sit out in the backyard and look at the mountains. :) She's probably wondering how being outside 'there' could be so pleasant when outside 'here' meant 90 degrees in temperature and 90% humidity! But, as much as she enjoys being outside, her favorite time of the day is when she snuggles with dad on the couch at night. Julia says she is truly a 'daddy's girl,' and that pleases Julia very much because she chose Catalina for Raul. She was meant to be . . . daddy's little girl.
Mortimer at 3 months, with HIS family! Just how fortunate is 'this' little puppy??
Christmas comes to Mortimer the black-nosed reindeer. Guess what Mortimer has? A Christmas stocking all his own, ready and waiting for Santa to fill. You poor little bulldog, you. I see a really 'tough' life ahead . . . :)
Yubi Lela, at 3 1/2 months
TONY'S FIRST CHRISTMAS:
His brother and sister have big plans for him . . .
3 month old Tony is going to be a . . . . CHRISTMAS ELF!!!!! As you can see, he is absolutely thrilled!!!!
Catalina, at almost 4 months; loved so much by her mom and dad.
And here 'he' is: Ole Pooty Pants!! (nickname) He's 4 months old now! Mom reports that he has bones of all ages and stages. In fact, Pooty Pants is so into his bones that he even buried a stuffed toy in the shape of a bone! He's either a genius or . . . otherwise. Mortimer will begin obedience training classes soon; maybe his instructor can help us make that determination! :)
HERE IS CATALINA at 5 months old!! Her mom says that she is not only beautiful but smart, too! Her dad has taught her to sit, play catch, and 'wait' for her food and treats. Julia said that Catalina will sit and wait forever until dad gives her the 'okay' sign. :)
Bella and her sister, Meghan, during the first few weeks of Bella's arrival. It's good to have Bella on a leash; that way, she can't get too close until Meghan is SURE this is really a 'friend.' :)
Bella--at about 3 months--with her dad, two brothers Josh and Noah, and sister Meghan (minus mom, but someone has to be behind the camers!) around Christmas time. Just don't know how much better life can be for a puppy than to have playmates like this.
A picture is worth a thousand words? In this case, possibly a million . . . or more. Mom says that Bella loves to rough house with the boys, but when it comes to Meghan, she lies down for her so that Meghan can pet her wihout intimidating her or knocking her down. Meghan was scared of any dog initially, but mom says she has become comfortaable and attached to Bella. When Meghan is asked now just 'who' this is, Meghan will say, "This is my Bella!" That mutual affection will only intensify as the years come and go. If the thought of that bond doesn't warm the heart, then not much will.
Bella is entering one of several 'gangly' stages; she will thicken during the next few months. She is not too heavy, and that is so much better on growing joints. THANK YOU, Ron and Diana, for giving her such a loving home and for taking such good care of her. I remember this shy little girl well and will love her always.
Yubi Lela at 6 months, along with her little brother, Yoshi.
PROMO, nee Boris, son of Petromonoff Valiant and Our Bulldog Children's Gianna, Winter 2008 litter
Now the son of Damon and Sarah, Dallas, Texas
BUDDY, nee Sergi, son of Petromonoff Valiant and Our Bulldog Children's Gianna, Winter 2008 litter
Now the son of Ron and Jenette, Belton, Texas
And this is Sita's precious Bianca! This little girl is five months old in this picture. She is her mom's constant shadow.
BEAR, nee Yuri, son of Petromonoff Valiant and Our Bulldog Children's Gianna, Winter 2008 litter
Now the son of Amy, Lubbock, Texas
LULU, nee Anastasia, daughter of Petromonoff Valiant and Our Bulldog Children's Gianna, Winter 2008 litter
Now the daughter of Joe and Kristi, Austin, Texas
BEAR!! Resting so peacefully in his new home. This little boy is now 9 weeks old, and he is making his home with his new mom, Amy. Bear is in most every thought Amy has; and it won't be long until Amy IS Bear's only thought! :)
"Grown Pups 2" contains pictures of:
1) Sugar/Amasio Fall 2007 Babies
2) Gianna/Petromonoff Winter 2008 Babies
(Dad and Mortimer at 6 months)
(Promo, at 2 1/2 months)
Tired Promo, just back from a St. Patrick's Day Parade; but he's okay because he's with his mom and dad.
Buddy, realizing he can't take his nap because . . . . here comes mom with that camera again!! :)
(Buddy, at 10 weeks)
Dad says Chloe is getting to be a big girl and that her personality is even bigger! Yes, James, I know exactly what you mean. That is partly because Chloe is a bulldog and partly because Shuggie's babies are characters! They are a tad strong minded, but they will be the sweetest, most gentle 'little child' you could ever have. Their mom is our 'rock'; she asks for nothing more than just to be where we are. Chloe will be just the same for you. :)
Beautiful, beautiful Tony, at 7 months.
Lulu at almost 4 months. This is our precious Gianna's little girl; could there be any doubt? No, none. There is no better adult female in this world than Gianna, who is perfect in every way. I have a feeling Lulu is following along in that very same mold. Whether you know them or not, you can look into their eyes and see 'who' they are. I truly believe they are very close to . . . angels.
Lulu on an outing in April 2008. That water might feel a little cool right now, sweet girl, but do you have any idea how GOOD being at this same place in July is going to be!!! Your mom plays and plays in the backyard and then runs and jumps into the wading pool; many times she even ducks completely under the water! I'll bet you become pretty proficient at that trick, too! Your mom and dad say you are a blessing to their home, hon. And I KNOW they are a blessing to you . . . THANK YOU, Joe and Kristi!!! More than you could ever know.
And here is Miss LuLu, not too long after she moved to her new home! And what is better than a nice raised bed so you can view all that passes, a warm mat . . . and a warm buddy. Maybe an open doggy door so you can come and go anytime you want to!! Yes . . . but I see that you have that, too! I'd say if there's a bowl of food and a pan of water inside, complete with people to hug you, then . . . things don't get any better than that for a young puppy (or for an older one, either!). :)
Springtime has come, and that means the snow has melted and Tony can go out to play with his best buddy, Taylor. A little boy and his dog . . . I hope Norman Rockwall painted one of those . . .
Bear goes to spend the night with Shelly, Amy's mom; here he's with Winston, Shelly's little boy.
Buddy at almost 4 months. This little bulldog is growing up in a home where the parents, Ron and Jenette, place priority on the growth, development, and happiness of each family member. Buddy's sister, Alex, and his brother, Nate, were honored at an Incredible Kids Ceremony recently. This home environment provides every element needed for achievement and thriving, happy children. Oh, Buddy . . . I hope you will always be an asset to this wonderful family. I somehow think you will. :)
June 10, 2008, "Buddy Learns a New Trick!": (his mom, Jenette, sent pictures and captions to share with us Buddy's thoughts) --I assure you, SHE knows!! :) This mother and 'son' are inseparable. I love to think about that . . .
"This ladder sure is hard to use when you're so top heavy . . ."
"Phew, I made it in!"
"Look at me go!"
Buddy, at 5 months
Guess who was in his dad's and mom's wedding? You are right! Mr. Promo, all dressed in his bow tie and definitely a member of the family AND wedding party! Promo was in training to walk down the aisle with the flower girls, but I'll have to ask Damon and Sarah if that plan materialized or was terminated due to uncompleted obedience training. That could have been an extremely risky undertaking! :) I would say that Promo is . . . not afraid of being sent back. :)
Promo: May 3, 2008; 4 months old
Mom says Catalina went to the lake with them, and once she got in the water, she wanted to stay . . . she's asking for a surfboard for Christmas. :)
Beautiful Catalina . . . at almost 9 months. You are a much loved little girl; how very fortunate you are!
Beautiful Bear, at 6 months
Do you get the impression that Bear is thinking, "Would you just go away and let a guy take a little nap . . ." :)
Tony, at 9 months.
The family's beloved Buddy, at 6 months. This little guy loves to go over and visit the neighbors next door, but he knows he isn't allowed! So, he goes over and lies against the curb adjacent to their property; he goes just as 'close' as he can without breaking the rules! What a character . . .
Yubi with dad and brother, Yoshi. Yubi is recovering from a leg injury; the energizer bunny is 'still' only in dad's lap. Healing time needed.
Miss Yubi at 10 1/2 months, relaxing on her new nap place: the guestroom bed. Mom says Yubi has learned to jump up on the bed and has found the perfect place for relaxing. But you see, this is also mom's sewing room where she makes her quilts: what Yubi is really doing is . . . staying right with mom. And see that tongue sticking out? TYPICAL bulldog characteristic; dad calls her "old rubber tongue." :)
These are pictures of Chloe at 11 months. She has a new little brother, Keegan, who is the son of our LeeLee and Petromonoff Valiant. James says that these two seem to love each other very much. When parents have to go to work, it's nice to have a buddy there with you, even if it is a pesky little brother. :)
Mom's Beloved Bianca, at 11 months
Bianca, with new sister, Leanna, and with 'old brother' Michael. :)
Bianca, at 11 months, with her mom . . . and doing her best to learn to share her precious mother with new sister, Leanna.
Bianca and her mom. All I ever want for my babies is that they have someone who will love them with all their heart. And if that happens, that love will be forever. Mom and Bianca are . . . forever.
"Buddy climbs on the couch and sleeps up there. He put his legs out like he's in a wheelchair and rounds his back. That's how he likes to sit."
"He won't lie down to sleep; he sits there until he starts dozing off (like this) and then eventually he falls over and plops his head on the armrest. I guess he doesn't want to miss anything."
(Buddy, at almost 8 months)
Here is Lulu!! This . . . PRECIOUS . . . little girl is now almost 8 months old, but I am not certain when this picture was taken. Dad sent this today, September 4, 2008, but he said mom would send others soon.
Look into this little girl's eyes . . . THIS is STILL the face of our little girl when she lived here with us for the first two months of her life. Do you not see the sweetness, the innocence of this magnificent little girl? The last two weeks she was here before she went to live with her mom and dad, she shared my pillow every night. We were on a mattress in her nursery room, and she would play and play and then come and crawl up on my pillow, snuggle against my head and go fast asleep. And that is where she slept every night. Never, never will I forget her.
Thank you Joe and Kristi!
(Note from Tony's Mom: "Tony had a wonderful first birthday. He went to visit his grandma and grandpa, run and play in their big backyard. He had frozen paws (dog ice cream). He got a new bed and toy. He even had a party hat but as you can see in the picture, he didn't care too much for it. Talk to you soon. "
Beautiful, Beautiful Tony . . . at 1 year--what IS he going to be like at 2!! :)
THE BIRTHDAY GIRL!! One year old! (with sweet brother, Yoshi)
"Shella, Carrie and I had a birthday party for Yubi and Yoshi. It's hard to believe its been a year. We had pupsickles (frozen chicken broth and ice cubes). She is still full of energy at 64 pounds, walked twice a day and still loves the water and her Jolly ball. "
Thanks, Bill! I have never made a "pupsickle," but I just may! :)
Oh, Mr. Bear: Just look at you! You are only 9 months old . . . what a fine young man you are. Shelly, your grandmother :), says you are wonderful! Yes, I believe she is right . . . :)
Bear at 9 months, in his Wizard Hat!! Do you like your new hat, Bear? That much, huh . . . . :)
(Promo, at 9 months)
(Note from Dad, Oct 11, 2008: " . . . our handsome boy is coming in at 66 lbs. right now. We are very careful about his diet, and he gets frequent exercise, so I am confident that he isn't 'overweight,' just big . . . Though his pictures don't do him justice, I have attached several. The first one is his new favorite position. He just sits back and looks at us over the ottoman while we are on the couch. In the second picture, we were dog sitting a maltese for Sarah's parents and he found her bed ; I think he is a little too big for it! The other ones are just cute, and the last one is while we were playing with his ball; he is about to pounce on me if I don't throw it for him. He is such a delight, and we can't imagine life without him. It will be interesting to see just how big he gets. We'll keep you updated. :) Talk to you later, Damon, Sarah and Promo"
(Keeping an 'upside down' eye on mom and dad!--Dad says this is Promo's new favorite position!)
(Trying to sit in his Maltese guest's bed. Sorry little boy, it doesn't quite fit you. :) )
(Waiting for dad to throw the ball!!)
(at 3.5 months)
Bear, at 8.5 months, with mom, Amy
Shopping with mom for just the right Halloween costume :) Bear, I vote for the Pirate's Hat: it is just . .YOU! :)
Buddy and Nate: "Love" is supposed to be an abstract term; one look at this picture and you realize 'this' is love in its concrete form.
Mom with her two girls, Leanna at 20 months; and Bianca at 15 months. Do these girls love mom? I would say with all their hearts. :)
Mortimer on October 31, 2008 (at 13 months) , with mom and brother, Carter. This is the Star Wars crew on their way to a Halloween party! :) Yoda, you are . . . georgeous . . . LOVE the ears!!! :)
Mortimer at almost 15 months, just about to enjoy his second holiday season. Merry Christmas, Mortimer!
Note from mom, December 13, 2008: " . . . Mortimer is doing great. He is getting so big! He is now 60 pounds and thinks that he is 10 lbs . . . he still loves to snuggle, which is adorable but at times very heavy. :) He also still follows us room to room, which is pretty cute. He likes to sit under our office chairs while we are working. Hope you and John are doing great! Enjoy the pics." [THANK YOU, Liz!!! We ARE enjoying them, and will many more times than you could possibly imagine! :)]
The Christmas Elf has changed considerably from a year ago!! :)
Tony Tiego, at 15 months--can hardly wait to see you at two, Tony, you beautiful boy!!
Promo, at 1 year. Promo, Buddy, Bear, and sister Lulu, celebrated their first birthday on January 3, 2009! HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY, YOU PRECIOUS LITTLE BULLDOGS!!!
LULU at 1 year, toasty warm before her fireplace. Lulu and her three brothers celebrated their first birthday on January 3, 2009. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET GIRL!!! And THANK YOU, Joe and Kristi, for allowing us all to see your precious Lulu. Though she has become a 'bulldog,' I still see her soul through those eyes; will never, never forget her.
Note from Mom, March 4, 2009: "We took Catalina to play in the snow today for the first time. She ran around and chased a stick for about half an hour. The other picture is how she spent her afternoon. :) " [Catalina looks like one of those artic hares; you can't see anything but the eyes and nose! :) Catalina, I vote for how you spent your afternoon: beside dad and all warm and safe. Terrible life you have there, my dear, sweet girl. :)]
Catalina, at 17 months
Note from Dad, March 4, 2009: "I think our little man is pretty content. There's simply no use in trying to convince him at 70 lbs. that he isn't exactly a lap dog! :) "
Dad's feet!
Promo, St. Patrick's Day, 2009
(at 14 ) months
Two Brothers: March 23, 2009
"A Picture Says a Thousand Words"
Buddy and his Mom: I've never decided who loves who the most . . . . I'd say it is about equal.
#1
#2
#3
#1: Buddy, sleeping in mom's bed, so soundly
#2: Buddy, feeling so safe, snuggles even farther down in the covers . . . so peaceful, so quiet, no one around to disturb his hibernation
#3: Buddy: "I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT!! SHE'S HERE AGAIN, ISN'T SHE!!!"
[Yes, Buddy, she is! heehee You won't win this one!! Psst, Buddy: You have NO IDEA you are a dog, do you! :) ]
. . . and this is Chloe and her 'little' brother, Keegan, about 8 months later. Little brother has grown considerably, but sister still is top dog: Dad says Keegan is a bit of a dork, that he lies there and lets his sister chew on his feet! :) I would say Chloe TOLD him he could live with them, BUT 'she' had seniority and he'd better remember that! :)
Note from Mom: "I am so sad about the quality of this camera. If it weren't the cell phone (please don't ask how I burned through yet another camera--the third in a year--just don't go there) these pictures would be sooo adorable, particularly that last one." [They are STILL wonderful, Jen; this boy is so appropriately named; he IS your 'buddy.' :)]
Buddy, at 1.5 years
Promo, at 1.5 years; in his new backyard, with his new grass . . . and a chase ball! Life is good . . . :)
Note from Dad, August 11, 2009: ". . . I must tell you how much our love for our boy Promo grows each and every day. He just makes us smile, and we can't express what he means to us. We've even been told by some lately that they think bulldog owners are some type of secret cult! :) -- We bought a house a couple of months ago, and I quickly extended the backyard as much as I could, put fresh grass down for him and he is so happy. I wish I had a video for you, and in fact I may try to get one taken, of when I'm watering the grass. Most of the time I just hand water with a regular water hose. He takes these running leaps at the water--all feet off the gorund and just loving it. He finally 'catches' it and gets a mouth full--and sometimes a nose full! -- I hope you and yours are doing well. All the best, Damon, Sarah, and Promo" [We are doing fine, Damon, just trying to survive this horrible South Texas summer. P.S. YOU HAVE A GORGEOUS BOY!!! :) ]
Yubi and Yoshi, Squirrel Watchers Deluxe!!! "Don't come on OUR territory! We are warning you!! This door won't stop us!!"

HAPPY SECOND BIRTHDAY, BELLA! SEPTEMBER 14, 2007 - SEPTEMBER 14, 2009
HAPPY SECOND BIRTHDAY, BIANCA! SEPTEMBER 14, 2007 - SEPTEMBER 14, 2009
Note from Mom, September 24, 2009: "Buddy was hanging with his 'pacifier' last night and being cute, so I tried to get a picture. I just could not seem to get a good picture because every time I bring out that camera, he looks away and will not hold still.
Things are good. I do hope it stops raining soon because as much as Buddy likes swimming and baths and all things water, he has informed me in so many grunts that he doesn't DO the rain.
Hope things are good for you, too? Jen " [Buddy, Buddy, Buddy, you STILL don't know you're a dog, do you. :) You precious boy . . . ]
Note from Mom, March 22, 2010: "I think I discovered the extent of stubbornness a bulldog can exhibit. Buddy had been eating the frozen Bil Jac food. He LOVES that food and every time we'd go to the fridge, he'd wonder if it's time to eat!! Then, all the stores around the area stopped carrying it. We had to switch him to dry dog food. We bought him some dry Bil Jac. He was not excited about eating any more. He gingerly munched on his food. For about a week he ate less and less every day. He just doesn't like it. I figured we would try something else once the bag was out. On Saturday, he ate one piece and didn't eat again. I figured he'd get hungry enough and finally break down. But he didn't eat on Saturday night, all day Sunday, and not this morning. Before I took him to the vet, I decided I would get him some bottled water (he loves bottled water) and some soft dog food to see if it was the Bil Jack or he really didn't feel good. Well, as soon as I put that soft dog food in his bowl, up he popped into eating action wagging his tail. He's currently flying around the house like his pants are on fire. Now, tell me: who's in charge here???? Jen" [I KNOW who is in charge, not only from reading your words, but because I HAVE HIS MOTHER!!!! The apple does not fall far from the tree! :) Gianna decided last night that she wanted to sit in my lap. Now, I welcomed her to sit in the recliner 'beside' me, but that wasn't quite good enough because SHE wanted to sit in my lap! Gianna is heavy!!!! But you know, I finally decided that with the look that was coming from those eyes, she truly needed to sit where she wanted to, so . . . she snuggled up in my lap and went to sleep. I wouldn't have moved her for the world!!! My 'big' baby . . . So, stubborn? Yep. Like mother, like son. :) ]
APRIL, 2010: YUBI, AT 2.5 YEARS, WITH DAD IN THE TEXAS BLUEBONNETS; AND SWEET BROTHER, YOSHI, IS ON THE FAR LEFT. YOSHI IS SO HAPPY THAT NEW BROTHER, BUDDHA (IN MIDDLE) CAME A FEW MONTHS AGO BECAUSE NOW YUBI LETS YOSHI ALONE, FOR THE MOST PART, AND HE CAN SLEEP UNDISTURBED! :)
