We fully recognize that a puppy's sire is extremely important; in fact, the sire seems to dominate any discussions about a particular puppy, whether a legitimate focus or not. We all would concede the fact that a puppy is only one-half sire; the other half is the dam, and often very little is said about a puppy's mother. To us, that seems to be a critical omission. (Experienced breeders whose opinions we respect state that if you are looking to purchase a female to breed as an adult, take a close look at her mother; this will serve you well. As a general rule, as the mother goes [licking her pups and cleaning up after them; producing lots of good milk; staying with them the needed time; producing litter sizes that approximate her own mother's, etc.], so goes the daughter!). Because we are so very proud of our girls, who are definitely a 'cut above,' please allow the following introductions.
Sugar's ("Big Shuggie") sire is Biggie, a son of Taz. Her mother was a quiet, calm, beautiful female named Diamond. Shuggie is now four years old, as of January 2009. Our Sugar is a sweet, loving girl who wants only to be right where we are. She rarely gets angry, no matter the provocation; if Big Shuggie growls or barks, everyone takes heed because that behavior is rare! And when she looks up at you so lovingly with those totally trusting, golden-brown eyes, your heart melts away. Big Shuggie is white, with the exception of her little brindle powder-puff tail; when she walks, that little tail twists with every step. This wonderful girl is far from being a loner; she may not be in the vortex of the action, but she is always right there with us, contributing to the comraderie in her calm, gentle manner. Gianna is now 3 years old and is a remarkable female. She is the daughter of a magnificent stud, Giovanni, now deceased. The pride we feel in owning Gianna is inestimable. Words do not exist that would adequately describe her; they simply do not. I could shorten this for you by saying the following: "She is perfection, in every way." Dazey came to us when she was about five months old; she needed a home, and we more than welcomed her. After a search, we located her breeder, Linda of Blissful Bulldogs,www.blissfulbulldogs.com, who upon learning of Dazey's plight, was extremely distressed. Without Linda's generous help, we would not know anything about Dazey's earliest weeks of life and how deeply she was loved. We are so grateful for everything Linda has done to help us; she is a breeder who genuinely cares about her babies, even when they are no longer small. Dazey is the daughter of Blissful Bulldog's Lily Langtree of Hannah, daughter of their Mighty Mojo! Dazey has a grandmother who came from Brazil; perhaps that is a part of the reason for Dazey's strength and stamina. Linda's AKC bulldogs run the fences with their cattle and donkeys, so not ALL American AKC English bulldogs have breathing/heart problems that make tolerating excessive heat and cold difficult. ("Cold" is not something we have to be that concerned about here in South Texas!) A prospective buyer must be very cautious, however, and know that 'usually' AKC English bulldogs cannot tolerate more demanding climatic conditions. Jellybean and Lollipop are AKC-registered Shih Tzus who are twelve and ten years old, respectively. They have given us many years of unconditional love and devotion. Now, a bulldog may not want to sit in your lap, generally; but a Shih Tzu will sit on you twenty-four hours a day. (This dog was bred to lie in the sleeves of emperors in China, hiding there to protect their owners from adversaries.) Mindy, an AKC-registered miniature French poodle, is thirteen years old; silver is now blending in among all her silky black hairs. The silver may not be just evidence of age, but equally could be a crown earned for great patience with the interlopers who have invaded her once serene environment. Mindy and I have 'alone time' every night when the bullies are bedded down.

Little Man Shotput has an extremely important job around our home: he takes good care of his flock. At almost 100 pounds, he is our guard dog; he is the son of Taz and a very large (112 pound) American bulldog named TK. Getting Little Man was our first experience with a low-down scammer. I chose this little guy because of the pictures of his parents on a breeder's website; the picture of Little Man's 'mother' was an English bulldog, and I believed I was getting an English bulldog when I bought him. I did not learn the truth until much, much later. No, I would not have bought this boy had I known the truth. THAT is why they told the lie. SHAME, SHAME ON THEM!!! "This" is NOT Little Man's fault!! We love him COMPLETELY!!! He is our precious boy. He handles his job with great pride and absolutely loves every single one of his girls.

PLEASE NOTE!!! The adult FEMALES that appear in the following section are our SECOND LINE; they are registered by the Continental Kennel Club. They ARE classified as bulldogs. The greatest percentage of their bloodlines IS pure English bulldog; BUT in order to produce a bulldog that could stand greater climatic differences (VERY important here in the South) and that, in general, would have a stronger overall health factor, those lines were crossed with breeds such as the neopolitan, bull mastif, and Staffordshire bull terrier (English "Nanny Dog"). These dogs have NO difficulty keeping up with you, each step of the way! If you want a wonderful pet for your family, one that has an extra health factor and is 'still' a bulldog, then the following females, when bred to the 'right' male (and I will be happy to explain that to you in a personal communication), will provide a puppy that you can expect to play outside with your children and have no danger of sudden respiratory death. In our opinion, and we ARE entitled to that, the very same as everyone else, there IS a definite place in this world for this beautiful, healthy, bulldog.
PLEASE NOTE!! The first two adult females on this page, Our Bulldog Children's Dazey, and Our Bulldog Children's Penelope, are our AKC registered purebred English bulldogs. The puppies resulting from these breedings will ALWAYS be ONLY AKC registered purebred English bulldog puppies! It is our belief that there is a place in this immense world for BOTH the purebred English bulldog and ALSO for the bulldog bred with greater health factors in mind, ESPECIALLY here in South Texas, (our CKC line); there IS a need and a place for both!! Meet . . . IDGY! Does Idgy remind you of someone you have just seen? LeeLee? Absolutely. These two young females are litter mates! Idgy lived in Lubbock the first year of her life; before that, she was here with us! She was bought for my niece, Lauren, but when Lauren could not take Idgy into a new apartment complex, our son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Christina, welcomed Idgy into their home (in North Texas) to keep her for us until we could make arrangement to get her. Idgy is with us now, and and we love her so much. Idgy loves to play ball and could be an 'outside' dog entirely if need be. We have her inside just because that is where we want her! Idgy's puppies are bully AND healthy and able to tolerate heat, humidity, and cold! This is a puppy that can play outside, go on walks, and avoid c-sections! And yet, you will still have the qualities of the English bulldog that are so very dear. Idgy is CKC registered.

Please say hello to our precious LeeLee! Her sire is Biggie, son of Taz. LeeLee is 75% English bulldog (from Biggie); and 25% Staffordshire Bull Terrier (known as the British Nanny Dog because they are excellent with children). LeeLee, when bred to a purebred English bulldog, will produce a high-percentage bulldog (87.5%) that will be bully AND have an extra measure of health. That 'blood benefit' will allow her puppies to spend a much greater amount of time outdoors than is possible for a purebred; a stronger respiratory system will allow for that. We here in South Texas have high humidity and hot summers; a "LeeLee puppy" will be able to run and play with children for hours at a time where a purebred might not. THIS is the benefit of having a CKC-registered English bulldog! You see?? There IS a place for 'both' AKC- AND CKC-registered English bulldogs! [LeeLee is CKC registered.]
It is with fathomless sorrow that we must 'announce' the passing of our BELOVED Fonyody Vitez Pitypang. Our hearts are broken, and they will never mend. Upon rare occasion, there comes into one's life a dog that is so precious that words cannot describe her meaning to us, her value to us as our child. Our Pitypang was THE perfect bulldog; she was our love, our most cherished possession. Our weather here in South Texas has been incredibly humid; humidity, combined with heat, is treacherous to purebred bulldogs. In a mid-summer hot/humid month, even a few minutes outside, even late in the evening hours, can be exceedingly dangerous. No one can ever take her place; she was loved every single minute of every day, and she knew it. Pitypang did not 'know' the shortness of her life; she only knew the fullness of it, and it was filled to the brim with adoration. We will carry her love, her spirit, with us every single day for the rest of our lives. If the Lord truly wants us to be happy in heaven, He will welcome us at the gate, and Pitypang will be standing there waiting for us. Our blessed, precious little girl: we love you so much!!!

Paloma's has been an absolutely beautiful female from her earliest days. Her mom is Our Bulldog Children's Idgy; her dad is Amasio. This young female was born in May, 2007. Paloma originally went to live with her new mom in Corpus Christi; but because of personal reasons, her mom could not keep her and Paloma came 'home.' We never made an effort to place her again; we just 'flat out' wanted to keep her! And oh, goodness; are we ever glad we did! She has to be one of the most loving bulldogs we have; she is my constant companion. This girl has a THE most loving heart; she looks at you with completely adoring eyes, really unlike any I have seen before. Paloma will not be bred until she is two years old to be certain there are no genetic problems; most experts agree that genetic faults will have appeared by that time. Responsible breeders will not allow a female to become pregnant before that time; before the age of two, most females are not really physically or emotionally ready to bring a litter into this world. Paloma is CKC registered.

Penelope is the daughter of our precious Fonyody Vitez Pitypang, deceased, and CH Nobozz Smirnoff Ice, multi-champion owned by Luca in Sirmione, Italy. Penelope left our home when she was two months old to live with Cindy and Earl; but because of personal circumstances, her wonderful parents allowed her to return to us when Penelope was just shy of her second birthday. The joy we feel is unmeasureable, and our undying gratitude to Cindy and Earl is inestimable. A little part of our beloved Pitypang is back with us. We truly count Penelope's return as one of the greatest blessings of our lifetimes. We will have this little girl for the remainder of her life, and we will cherish her every single day.
